Culture & Traditions
The Igbo trace their origins back thousands of years, with archaeological evidence linking them to ancient communities such as the Nri Kingdom. Traditionally, the Igbo lived in self-governing villages and clans, without centralized kingship. Instead, decisions were made collectively through councils of elders, priests, and titled men and women.
